Obituary for Ruth Anne Gillespie

Ruth Anne Gillespie
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of loving wife and mother, Ruth Anne Gillespie, in her 67th year. She was born and raised in Dublin, Ireland, the daughter of Gerry and Nancy Checkley. She is survived and will be desperately missed by her husband Paul Gillespie, daughter Michelle, son Justin (Nora), sister Mary Corbally and all her family and friends.

Ruth was the most caring person and admired by all who knew her. She dedicated herself to helping others through active involvement in her church and with charitable organizations. She had a fun personality and always enjoyed a good laugh. She was a light in our lives and the memory of her love and devotion will forever be felt in our hearts and help guide us forward as we try to live a life without her. We know her spirit will always be with us, looking over us and protecting us. She will be our guardian angel.

Family and friends are invited to gather at the McKersie-Kocher Funeral Home, 114 Main Street East, Milton on Thursday, April 27, 2017 from 1 pm to 2:30 pm. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 139 Martin Street, Milton, Ontario at 3 pm on Thursday, April 27, 2017. Reception to follow at the family home. Cremation will take place following the Mass and burial of the urn will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy can be made through donation in memory of Ruth to Development and Peace's Share Lent, Women at the Heart of Change Campaign (http://www.devp.org/en/sharelent-2017)
