Obituary for Gabriel (B.A.) Bonin

Gabriel (B.A.)  Bonin
Passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, May 27, 2018 following a lengthy illness. B.A. Bonin, beloved husband of Zella Bonin. Loving father of Steve (Kim), Dan (Tara) and Greg (Erin). Sadly missed by his grandchildren Michael, Sofia, Stephanie, Adam, Sarah (Scott), Jason, Katelyn, Madelyn and his great grandchildren Nicole, Savannah and Alyssa. He is survived by his sister Duelia Serafini. Born of Italian immigrants at Kelso, B.A. was a local business man who operated Harris Stationery for over 25 years. A founding member of the Italian Canadian Club and a contributor to the building of Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church in Milton Heights, B.A. was also an active member the Lions Club for many years fixing shelters for kids waiting for the bus or creating Santa Clause parade floats. In his free time B.A. loved fishing and managing his ever-expanding garden. If not driving his tractor he was making large amounts of Tomato sauce to feed his family. B.A. was a strong silent and caring individual who quietly lent his support to many in Milton.

Family and friends are invited to visit at the McKERSIE-KOCHER FUNERAL HOME 114 Main St. E. Milton 905-878-4452 on Thursday from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Holy Rosary Catholic Church 139 Martin St. Milton on Friday, June 1, 2018 at 10 am. Interment to follow at Milton Evergreen Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations in memory of B.A. to the Milton District Hospital Auxiliary would be appreciated by the family.
