Obituary for Marion Marshall

Marion Marshall
Passed away on June 9th, 2018 at Milton District Hospital. Marion is predeceased by her husband Colin in February, and leaves behind surviving sisters Alma Doane and Eileen McCutcheon and sister-in-law Ruth Rae. Marion is also survived by her daughters Karen Powell (Larry), Eileen VanderDeen (Dick), Beth Snoj, Laura Al-Joundi (Sak), Susan Barber (Mark) and son Paul Marshall (Angie). Cherished grandmother of 12 grandchildren, Robert, Jeffrey, Lisa, Paula, Peter, India, Connor, Olivia, Matthew, Kirsten, Tiama, Mathias and 2 great grandchildren Kory and Shane. Marion was born in Norval and worked together with her husband dairy farming first in Milton and later in Stratford. She was a faithful member of Omagh and Stratford Presbyterian Churches. She was actively involved in many community clubs and events and was always generous with her time and resources to support the many causes dear to her. The family will have many warm memories of Christmas on the Farm, and all the love and joy Marion shared with us for that yearly celebration. Marion’s homemade meals were epic, sustaining many hired hands, family members and friends over the years. Marion was the glue that held our family together and her guidance and support will be missed each and every day. The family would like to thank the many wonderful staff members of Allendale for all their care and support over the last 3 years and the staff of Milton District Hospital for the care in the final days. A special thank you to Stacey Winter for her care and commitment.

Family and friends are invited to visit at the McKERSIE-KOCHER FUNERAL HOME 114 Main St. E. Milton 905-878-4452 on Thursday from 7-9 pm. The funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Friday, June 15, 2018 at 11 am. Interment will take place at Omagh Presbyterian Church Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, Donations may be made to Omagh Presbyterian Church or the Willow Foundation (Allendale).
