Life Story for Earnest Wilson

Earnest Wilson
It is with great sadness that the family of Ernie Wilson announces his passing on Saturday June 16, 2018 in his 82nd year. Ernie was the beloved husband of Aurora (DiGregorio) for 50 years. Loving father to; Sloan (Beverly Amiro), Letitia (Aaron Cronk) and Amber (Wayne Czisny). Ernie will be fondly remembered by his grandchildren, Blake and Jackson. He will be missed by his brother William (Marilyn) and his nieces; Shannon, Sheri-D and Lindsay, as well as many friends. Ernie was born in Calgary, Alberta and even though he has lived in Ontario for over 55 years he still considered Alberta his home. Ernie was considered a pioneer and innovator in the heavy equipment auction business. He owned Wilson’s Industrial Auctioneers in Milton, but conducted sales across all of Canada and throughout the United States. He was an exceptional auctioneer and his ability to appraise equipment was unparalled. He also owned and operated many other complementary businesses. Ernie’s true passion was horses. He was a respected Quarter Horse and Black Angus cattle breeder. His knowledge of animal pedigrees was impressive. Ernie was active in the Ontario Cutting Horse Association as a member, director, president and this year became OCHA’s first honorary director. This year Ernie was honored and inducted into the Canadian Cutting Horse Association Hall of Fame. Family and friends are invited to visit at the McKERSIE-KOCHER FUNERAL HOME 114 Main St. E. Milton 905-878-4452 from 2-4pm and 7-9pm on Thursday June 21, 2018. The funeral service will be held on Friday June 22nd at 11am in Knox Presbyterian Church (170 Main St E, Milton), interment to follow at the Milton Evergreen Cemetery (230 Ontario St S, Milton). Reception will follow the interment at the Knox Church Hall. As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations in memory of Ernie to the Heart and Stroke Foundation and OCHA would be appreciated by the family.
